Our Beliefs:
As members of the Global Methodist Church, we hold firmly to historic Christian orthodoxy while maintaining the Wesleyan emphasis on grace, holiness, and mission. We believe in the triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and in the full divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ. We affirm that salvation comes through grace alone, by faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, the primary source and standard for Christian doctrine and living. We practice two sacraments – baptism and Holy Communion – as means of grace through which God works in our lives. We are committed to personal holiness and social holiness, believing that authentic faith transforms both individuals and communities. Our theological convictions shape everything we do, from how we worship to how we serve.
At Campbellsville First Methodist Church, we are proud to be part of the Methodist tradition that has emphasized practical, disciplined faith for centuries. The Methodist movement was born from a commitment to “methodical” spiritual practices—gathering together for prayer, Scripture study, and mutual accountability.
