MinistrySafe Policy
God has called us to protect our children, youth, and vulnerable adults from all forms of abuse, requiring us to ensure our ministries are safe. Therefore, all of our staff and volunteers receive training to keep all children and adults safe through "MinistrySafe".
All individuals who would like to volunteer must have a clear background check and be part of the church for six months or more before they are allowed to work with our children or youth. A requirement of our MinistrySafe policy states that a child is never in a room alone with an adult and all activities are in open, or viewable areas. This is to ensure the safety of your child and every adult working with our students.
Children's Ministry @ First
For all children preschool - 5th grade.
Nursery is available for 5 and under.
Sunday & Wednesday:
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Youth Ministry @ First
Young people ages 6th-12th grade.
Sundays 5:30 - 7:00
Wednesday: 5:30 - 7:00
Our created space is safe for every teen who wants to enjoy fellowship, fun, and grow along side other students in our journey to become more like Jesus Christ!
The First Church Music Ministry is rebuilding and growing! Our goal is to blend the richness of traditional hymns with the energy of contemporary songs, creating a vibrant worship experience.
If you have a heart to serve and help us modernize our worship, we'd love to hear from you! This is an incredibly important ministry, and we welcome individuals from high school age and above to join us.
We are looking for talented believers to join us in creating a worship team and/or joining our choir and/or play an instrument and/or sing. Please contact Patti Brockman at 270-789-7608 for more information.
Holy Threads Clothes Closet
Holy Threads Clothes Closet is a FREE clothing ministry that happens the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm across the courtyard from Fellowship Hall. Please enter from First Street. We ask that you limit your selections to 12 items per person. There is no fee for this service to the community. Feed My Lambs
Feed My Lambs is a FREE food ministry that happens the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. Please enter from First Street. If you, or someone you know, needs food, come and get a box! There is no fee for this service to the community. Please follow our First Church Facebook page for updates.
We are a group of individuals who love to have a good time!
During the Spring, Summer, and Fall we enjoy taking a day trip once a month to fun and interesting places. During the Winter, we gather together at the church for an afternoon of games, food, and fellowship.

We welcome anyone wanting to participate in our PRAYER TEAM. The Prayer Team meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month at 5:00 PM (ET) in the conference room off Fellowship Hall. Enter Fellowship Hall from First Street.

SISTERS IN CHRIST is a First Church Ministry that invites women of our community to share fellowship, love, joy and the Word of Jesus Christ. We usually meet with a one-hour agenda that includes a guest speaker, a learning opportunity, business of the Ministry, fellowship and fun. We meet on the second Saturday of the month, at 10:00 AM (ET) in Fellowship Hall (enter from First Street) or the Ladies Parlor behind the Sanctuary. Please come as you are. This is a very casual get-together.
We want to welcome every woman into our faith family and invite you to join us at any of our meetings. Please join us in this journey of faith and serving the Lord. Whether you are new to the faith, a long-time believer, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here. As a SISTER IN CHRIST, we are stronger together, and we would love for you to be part of this vibrant community where we can grow, serve, and shine the light of Christ in our world.
